N.H. bill aims to add ‘gender identity’ to anti-discrimination protections

A bipartisan group of New Hampshire lawmakers are pushing for a proposed bill that aims to expand protections and prevent discrimination against transgender people in the state.

Three Republican senators have joined forces with eight Democratic senators and representatives for the measure that proposes to add “gender identity” to the Granite State’s statues of anti-discrimination.

The bill describes gender identity as an individual’s identity in appearance or conduct, even if it does not correspond with the person’s assigned sex at birth or physiology.

At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2017 event scheduled to be held in Las Vegas next week, bigwig automaker Ford will introduce its second-generation self-driving prototype --- an upgraded model of the company’s self-driving Ford Fusion Hybrid sedan.

The second-generation version of Ford’s self-driving prototype will be equipped with highly advanced sensors, along with substantially improved computing power and proprietary software which will give the car the ability to ‘think for itself.’

The newly-announced POWERbot VR7000 robot vacuum cleaner from Samsung is a 4-inch device which, going by Samsung’s claims, is 28 percent slimmer than the company’s previous robot vacuum cleaners.
