Collision between semi & train leaves 2 injured in Nashua

A semi vs. train crash on Woodbridge Avenue near the Five Star Co-Op in the morning hours of Tuesday left two persons injured, Nashua police officials said.

A spokesperson for the Nashua Police Department said they received the call about the crash at 9:30 a.m. and both the semi truck driver and train conductor were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of their minor injuries.

A Nashua man accused of stealing bottles of women’s perfume faces up to seven years in prison as law enforcement officials have upgraded the charge against him from a misdemeanor to a Class B felony under New Hampshire’s third-strike law.

Martin Paralle, a 41-year-old of resident of 40 Chestnut St., was taken into custody on Tuesday and charged with theft by police after a store situated at the Daniel Webster Highway reported the alleged theft.

A Nashua man was arrested by police Sunday night for allegedly driving a van the wrong way at speeds of more than 90 miles per hour (mph), authorities confirmed.

The suspect, indentified as 55-year-old Angel Rodriguez, was charged with a range of felonies. Witnesses told police that Rodriguez was driving wrong way on the Everett Turnpike at very high speed and purposely trying to hit other vehicles on the road.

A Nashua police officer suffered a fractured wrist while trying to arrest a man accused of domestic violence Wednesday night, authorities confirmed.

Police authorities said officers responded to a call related to domestic violence in Nashua. Upon reaching the scene of incident, they found Robert Hall breaking the front door.

When Hall saw the officers, he fled. Officer Justin Pearse chased him on foot, but he resisted arrest. During the strife, Pearse suffered a fracture in one of his wrists.

A Nashua family has donated an enormous concolor fir tree that it cared for over the past twenty years to the city for its annual Christmas celebrations.

The 50-feet tree that has been donated by Clif and Linda Banner of 459 South Main St to the city for Christmas celebrations was planted two decades ago as a 5-inch seedling.

The huge tree will be moved with a crane to its new home atop Library Hill, where it will be decorated and officially lit during the Winter Holiday Stroll for this Christmas season.

The 16-year-old Massachusetts girl who was reported missing on Halloween might be in the area of Nashua, New Hampshire, police said.

George, of Arlington, was last seen on October 31. That day, she was wearing a black skirt, florid corset, black stockings and a black cardigan.

Investigators believe that she might be in Nashua area, with a man she met on a social-networking site. According to police description, she is 5 feet 1 inch tall, around 140 pounds in weight, and has brown eyes and red hair.

Nashua man charged with numerous Mass. car break-ins

Tips from the public helped the Dunstable Police Department in grabbing a suspect wanted for a string of car breaks, Police Chief James G. Downes III said in a statement.

The suspect, a 21-year-old Brian McCombs of Nashua, New Hampshire, has been charged with numerous thefts and breaks into cars in town during the late night hours in October this year. According to police report, McCombs targeted at least six cars during the late night hours on the weekend before Halloween.
