Nashua ALDI opening on Thursday

German discount-supermarket chain ALDI Inc. has confirmed that its new Nashua store will open its doors on Thursday, March 3st.

The new store is located at 270 Amherst St. (Route 101A) in Nashua. It is the site the former Nashua Motor Express, across the street from Turnpike Plaza.

Bruce Persohn, vice president for ALDI, said in a statement that they were very pleased to bring our first store to Nashua to enable customers get high-quality products at low prices.


Making the announcement, Persohn added, "We challenge shoppers to switch from national brands to our high-quality exclusive brands and stretch their dollars without compromising quality. As important as price is, the only way to attract and keep shoppers is to have quality products."

On the opening day, the first one hundred shoppers will receive a "golden ticket," which will include various prizes ranging in value up to $100 in the form of store certificate. The grand opening of the new store will also include a ribbon-cutting, heavy discounts and food-tastings.

ALDI Inc., which claims that more than 90 per cent of its inventory is from ALDI-exclusive brands, operates more than 1,400 stores in nearly three dozen countries around the world.
